The American conservative magazine The American Prospect has released a new ranking of Guatemala tourism sites and is calling for more visitors to the Central American country.
The new rankings were compiled from data compiled by the tourism ministry.
Among the most popular sites are the historic city of Tehuantepec, the largest city in Guatemala.
The American publication said the site of Teho was once the capital of the Spanish kingdom, and its ruins have become popular with tourists from all over the world.
Tehuantesque is located on the south-western tip of Guatemala, about an hour from the capital city of Guatemala City.
It’s a city that was built as a military base and was later abandoned by the Spanish army in 1619, when Tehuantecanera became a Spanish territory.
The U.S. government had to declare the city a national park in 1973.
According to The American Progressive, a major reason for Tehuantoecaneros popularity among tourists is its historical importance.
Tehuecoatl is the chief deity of Tehuescoatl, the country’s major religious and cultural center, and he is venerated in the capital, where he is worshiped daily.
Teho is one of the most visited tourist sites in Guatemala and is popular with people of all ages.
Other popular tourist sites include the famous ruins of Teke, the capital’s main square and the city’s famous market, which opened in 2010.
The country also has one of Latin America’s largest and most vibrant communities of backpackers, according to the website TravelGuatemala.com.
